A completely bespoke service in the design and creation of garden features is the hallmark of Dave Preston, founder of P+O Craft – but creativity in ironwork is not his only skill.

Whilst clients have been drawn to the decorative nature of Dave’s ironwork, which includes gates, railings, rose arches, verandas – basically any structure that can feasibly be made in wrought iron, Dave has experienced a recent rising tide of interest in his copper fountains.

Handmade in finely beaten copper, these fountains form excellent likenesses to favourite plants. They rise statuesquely from a pond or water garden, forming a sculptural feature.

Dave’s clients also have the satisfaction of knowing that their fountain is unique. It follows no templates and has been designed and made specially to complement the ambience of their garden. Each client’s input into design of their fountain is welcomed.

Currently under development is a range of smaller fountains more suited for use with self-contained pebble pool water features in smaller gardens, patios and conservatories. Prices for these start at around £70.
Clients are able to view photographic examples of past commissions on request and Dave is pleased to discuss commissions for fountains and ironwork at any time, either at the workshop (by appointment) or by telephone/email.

Examples of Dave’s work are on exhibit at the RHS Malvern Spring and Autumn shows, where he will also be on hand to introduce his work and talk about requirements which he can fulfil for any garden, including gates, furniture, hanging basket brackets and growing frames.
